Gettin' Bushy

Dancing Bush

Now this is clearly a ripoff of DancingPaul BUT ... DancingBush is a DAMN GOOD ripoff, featuring everyone's favorite terrorism crusader himself. From Lankus.

Speaking of DancingPaul -- the site has undergone a little improvement, and while it is the same idea, it seems to have been smoothed out and made more "professional looking," or at least as professional as that guy can look.

Gary Yamamoto does cow

Yeah, you've seen his soft baits in stores everywhere, even Hilo. But did you know that Gary Yamamoto is also a rancher, and his gig is raising Kobe beef in Texas? From Jui.

Dont' drink that wine

I just received this link again in the mail from Kaleiilima, I forget who originally sent it to me. Here's a funny flash cartoon about why you shouldn't drink alcohol.

Allison to Kings; Stumpel, Murray to Boston

Jason Allison a King

This was the big news in the NHL yesterday (contrary to popular belief): the Boston Bruins traded star center (and contract holdout) Jason Allison and winger Mikko Eloranta to the LA Kings for center Josef Stumpel and wing Glen Murray. Read what the Kings have to say about it here, and what the Bruins say here.

Both teams should come out the better for this trade -- the Kings get a top-line center (fresh of a 95-point season) who has the size to get physical, and Boston gets some scoring depth.

More planes

Another military aviation images and video link from Gspot.

Supply line

This site is called The Terrorist Supply, but the name is kind of misleading. You don't have to be a terrorist (or aspiring terrorist) to appreciate a lot of the items they have for sale.

Verizon is run by a bunch of idiots. First off, it takes the 20 days to turn on the DSL because they have to send the request to the mainland to get approved. Next when the finally approve it (and of course they screwed that up too), it takes them a week to change it to the proper speed. They won't even qualify my lines even though I'm across the street from their DSLAMS. I don't blame the rep, he did what he could do considering the crap he probably had to go through.

And don't even get me started about Verizon and the regular phone lines.

Pitt wins

Pitt is officially on a roll with their new coach. They beat the Stars 3-2 today.

Disney vs. Napster

Proof positive that Disney really is the evil empire. Seems that they are using one of their kiddie cartoons to make young minds thinking Napster bad. Read about it here.

Snip snip

Everything that you may or may not have wanted to know about vasectomys. I think this guy just wanted to immortalize his nut sack on the web.

Head of the class

A Dutch brothel-owner has won the first Oral Sex World Championships.

The all-male jury in Romania had to decide on speed and artistic merit in two rounds - titled 'technical' and 'freestyle'.

I wonder if this will ever make it to pr0n. Hit up the full story here.

Looneyness

Matwix

Everyone and their brother makes cartoons on the Web -- why not Warner Brothers, the purveyors of Looney Tunes? It only makes sense. Be sure to check out The Matwix, an adaptation of everyone's favorite movie starring none other than Elmer Fudd.

Proto culture

Prototypical

This is apparently an Apple-based page, but it contains technology prototypes from many different companies. Some of these made it to production. Others, well, for obvious reasons, didn't.

Plastic fantastic

FA Glock

For the tweaky gun types out there: some information on the full-auto Glock conversion. And more info.

For full effect, be sure to check out the videos here and here.

Scum busting

Amoebagame

It's yet another funky Flash game from Gspot. This one is the "Pursuit Eye Movement" game. The storyline seems to be that some amoebas are invading the planet of the soap bubbles, and so you take control of a soap bubble who has broken out the assault rifle and put some lead into some amoebas. This one is pretty challenging. I can't seem to get better than a C.

Gsohappy says: "Dude, that Pursuit Eye Movement game isn't about soap bubbles ... it's about daily contact lenses as a weapon in the fight against amoebas (and, I'm assuming, other evil little germs). They're gun-toting vigilante disposable contact lenses. Crazy Chinese (probably from Singapore or Hong Kong, eh?)..."

CLIÉcam

Cliecam

Now that's a funky looking device if I've ever seen one. It's a digital camera that works in the memory stick slot of Sony CLIÉ PDAs. Not very good on the resolution front (320x240 max) but it's more a question of the optics and the camera's flexibility at that image size, IMHO.

Sony also announced its PEG-T415 superslim CLIÉ today, ensuring that the Visor Edge will disappear sooner rather than later.

Let there be light

Light

Well it's well-known that USB ports supply power -- they keep your optical mouse glowing as you use it. So it's about time someone used the USB port to power an actual light for the purpose of lighting things, in this case, the keyboard of your notebook computer.
