Happy New Year
Here's a neat little Mousetrap-style New Year's greeting. It's fast, so you might have to watch it a couple times.
Fly guy
Now this is a really great exercise in programming. Flyguy is a little interactive greeting
that has you flying a businessman around through the sky. Make sure you interact with the objets you encounter.
Big motor
This is way, way cool... the Big Block AMD,
a computer in a case shaped like a V8 engine. Site's in German, but it's got a lot of pictures ... From Lankus.
Nosfoolery
This is down there with the silliest contraptions of all time ... Nitrousmini is
a nitrous oxide system for cars that runs off of cream chargers. Methinks someone just wanted a front to buy whippets in bulk without
looking like a fiend. At $19.99 for 5, that's a damn good bit of profit, too! Submitted by Drag3T.
Antigravity?
Two members of the East Coast contingent submitted this: American Antigravity,
a science project that explores using some interesting physical phenomena to lift objects off the ground without the traditional
means of doing so.
A related link: From NASA, some common mistakes about breakthrough propulsion physics,
including the physics that make the above contraptions work. From Dr. Mikee.
Parting shot
Japanese gestures to try at home. With a few other
bits on the culture, from a gaijin perspective. From Dr. Mikee.
