Instant rice
Lankus sends along this utterly brilliant rice-car making Flash site. Loads of "options" -- and be
particularly sure to check out all the "backdrops."
Mama mia
Lesbian couples may be able to have a baby that shares both their genes following a new technique pioneered in the US.
Scientists at the Reproductive Genetics Institute in Chicago have devised a way to create "artificial sperm" from any cell in a woman's body which can be used to fertilise another woman's egg.
Either a social breakthrough or a moral corruption of legitimate science. You be the judge.

Meat hat
Meat hat or head covering of beef, you decide.
Mullets
Get you own personal mullet boy here.
Just for Meili.
Assorted astronomy
Various astronomy things, Maui residents want a darker sky, astronomy pics of the day, and the bad astronomy site.

Skeleton on a string
This is a really funky Flash implementation: basically a skeleton on a string, kind
of like a macabre marionette. The site itself is a really eclectic
collection of Flash apps, most of which I can't make heads or tails out of.
Fuji tease
There's a big (digital) photography show coming up in February (PMA), so the various manufacturers' hype machines will be
in full swing in the coming weeks. Check out Fuji's tease of their
next-generation FinePix with "Super CCD III".
More cow mixing
I posted this link a while ago to the Milko muscle machine, but
in case you didn't notice, there is another mixer referenced at the bottom of the page,
the Milko music machine. Both are equally
excellent.
Le flash
Could this be the solution to those stupid speed vans that are causing all the traffic
these days? Maybe. From Jui.

Crap
As anyone who has done a fair amount of auction browsing knows, this site asks a very important question:
Who would buy that? One man's trash, I guess ...
From Jui.
I do not hit
The best way to describe this Flash app is the way it describes itself: a kung fu mixer.
Basically it takes some semi-authentic Bruce Lee music background and lets you mix a variety of kung fu movie sounds in the foreground, while playing various
images (of Bruce Lee, hence the name, although I am not sure all of them are authentic Bruce Lee images). Maybe worth a few minutes of your time; the
"victory" track is the most recognizable Bruce Lee one. The voice-overs are in some European language that probably indicates the home country
of the creator.
Tyson's little friend
For those of you who were under a rock yesterday, Mike Tyson decided to reprise his role as a side-show freak at a presser for his fight against Lennox Lewis and
got into a brawl and a media cuss-fest.
During his cuss-out, Tyson was apparently making obscene gestures.
Jui reports that the "package" must have shifted into a "picturesque position," because Tyson's bodygoard
started covering up Tyson's decision-maker with the flap of his trenchcoat.
On the filesharing front
KaZaA.com has resumed its Napster-style software downloads after the sale of assets by developer Fast Track to
privately-held Australian firm, Sharman Networks Limited.
This news is actually a day or two old. Great, Kazaa can continue to infect people's computers with quasi-viruses.

Next best thing
Make sure to watch the video of the next big thing.
Nude cookery
Now this is the real naked chef, not that Jamie Oliver crap.
AMIBIOSornot
For only the truly [H}, amibiosornot. Hardware humor, hehe.
Potent B.C. bud
BLAINE -- U.S. Customs Service inspectors seized more than 1,400 pounds of potent "B.C. Bud" marijuana from the back of a beer truck at the U.S.-Canadian border crossing at Blaine Tuesday evening.

Also in pot news, driving high in Idaho.

CP5k report out
Well DPReview has DP'd the Nikon Coolpix 5000,
their new 5-megapixel flagship consumer camera. Kind of disappointing, if you ask me.
Geforce 4 coming
Yes, it's in the pipes and apparently, will be announced within weeks.
NV25 -- Geforce 4 -- continues in NVIDIA's tradition of "ever faster" ... we'll see how good these turn out and
how their pricing affects the cost of older NVIDIA boards.
Insanity
Now THAT is one serious overclock. No question about it. It's unknown whether any permanent damage was done by
such treatment.
Roll for stats
Okay this will appeal to certain demographics out there than others. This is a
personality-test page that generates AD&D stats
that represent you. I'd have made a shitty adventurer. Submitted by Mafioso.

Jordan isn't the only air master, introducing Air Kovy.

Lizard bait
DOVER, Del. (AP) -- Officers found Huff's body on the floor, with his pet Nile monitor lizards feeding on his flesh. The state medical examiner is investigating the cause of death.
Pretty nasty, but I guess it's what the lizards do in nature. Hit up the full story here.
