Palm announced two new PDAs on Monday, and this time they are actually worth looking at. Both have color screens; the m130 is an 8MB, "budget" ($279) model with a backlit "transflective" screen, and the m515 is a top-of-the-line model with brighter TFT screen and 16MB onboard. Both feature Palm's SD/MMC expansion slot.

I believe the transflective screen is inherently more viewable in direct lighting (outdoors), and the TFT on the 515 is apparently also vastly improved over color screens of a year or two ago. Both are capable of 16-bit color.

The m515 doesn't seem to be generating as much buzz as the m130 -- it's positioned as the cheapest color PDA on the market, and should get Palm quite a nice return. Read what else people are saying here.

Late addendum: There are rumors that former NHL great Dino Cicarelli is considering a comeback at age 42. Good lord!

Well, the Firingsquids have done up a review of the sequel to the game that poked a finger in the eye of Id (and their $50/game pricing policy): Serious Sam 2. I can't really get with games this mindless nowadays, but I'll be damned if the graphics don't look spectacular!
