More Cleo scandal
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- A birth certificate obtained by the state shows the woman marketed on cable television as Jamaican psychic Miss Cleo was actually born in Los Angeles, the daughter of American parents.
Is it really so? Call me now to find out, only $1.99 per min. Hit up the full story here.

I'm heading off on vacation until next week Tuesday so you'll be seeing little of me here.
Also, the gallery has been updated with three trips' worth of pictures from Penfold.
Minolta Dimage 7i
Minolta has released an update to its Dimage 7 camera, the Dimage 7i.
The new model claims additions such as a rubberized grip, a microphone for the video record mode, faster focusing and better battery management.
All in all, while I would never buy a Dimage (I hate EVFs), Minolta gets kudos for listening to a lot of the complaints about the D7 and fixing them.
At a list price of $1,099, the D7i will represent a pretty darn good value as well.
Keep abreast of other developments at CeBIT 2002 in Hanover here.
Rollei 5mp D-SLR
Rollei has announced a new digital SLR, the d530 Flex.
It's a 5 megapixel model with a 40-120mm equivalent lens. Feh. Unless there's something very special about it that the specs don't show,
it won't even stack up to the Olympus E-series.
Custom Bits
Here's an interesting page that features some highly customized
Bit Char Gs, including this Z28 Camaro. It's in Japanese for the most part, but non-readers could still
benefit from the pictures.
Mouse Bean
Here's an interesting new take on the traditional wrist rest for mousing ... the mouse bean
features a split pad that does not compress the nerve running down the middle of the wrist. I may just have to try one of these things for work
Virtuak Rubik
Here's something to keep you busy while I'm gone. It's a Flash Rubik's Cube.
If you get stuck, try these techniques, developed
by a Rubik's Cube master.
Piss off
Pop queen Britney Spears fled for cover after having urine thrown at her as she filmed a TV ad.The star was bombed with buckets of urine by angry neighbours as she sang
on location in the early hours of the morning, according to the News of the World.

And with that, I'm going to piss on out of here ...

June would
To anyone who follows University of Hawaii football, this should be one of the funniest bumper stickers ever. Indeed,
June would.
He scores!
It's an event that has happened only once a season in the past three years, but only seven times EVER --
a goalie scored! San Jose Sharks goalie Evgeni Nabokov scored
an empty-netter in the waning seconds of a 7-4 victory over the Vancouver Canucks.

Data security?
SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) -- By monitoring the flashes of LED lights on electronics equipment and the
indirect glow from monitors, scientists in the United States and the United Kingdom have discovered ways to remotely
eavesdrop on computer data.
