Purchasing

At the time I was shopping for my Palmpix, prices ranged from a high of $179 to a low of $99.95 -- ironically, that low price was from the Kodak site itself. Ordering from Kodak was a pleasant experience -- they ship overnight via Airborne Express for just $3. Kodak is licensed to do retail business in all 50 states, so you will pay your state's sales tax on your order. Although it meant it costed more, I felt I was supporting my own state, which isn't so bad. A deal was running at the time to get a free Palm "colorpak" with the PalmPix purchase, which is an assortment of games and styli aimed at Palm IIIcs. Also, there was a $30 rebate offer on the purchase of a Palm IIIc and a PalmPix together.

Today, just about every place features the $99.95 price, and there are even some deals to be had when buying a PalmPix in conjunction with a Palm IIIc. Outpost.com is one place I'd recommend, right now they are running a "free PalmPix" deal with a Palm IIIc purchase, and they ship overnight FREE!

The PalmPix comes with a CD-ROM of programs, a printed manual and Kodak Photolife batteries -- which is really a nice touch. Photolifes are some of the longest-lasting batteries I've used.
